Product Description
Here is a lovely handmade curio or smokers cabinet. There are 2 doors on the top section with panes of glass, beading detail and one small knobs. The actual top of the cabinet lifts open on two hinges. The bottom section has two wooden doors which open to two sections each with a shelf. The right hand shelf has some holes drilled into the front which may have been for pipes.
I believe the doors and the shells have been made out of old cigar boxes judging by the thinness of the wood and the stenciled lettering on the doors.
The side panels of the cabinet have wooden cabochon detailing with beading around the outside. Some sections of the beading are missing but this doesn’t detract from the appeal of this cabinet.
The top lid has a raised relief of a flying Swallow in an oval.
This is an old item so it has signs of age but to me it just adds to it’s individual character.
